Aeen was born in Tehran, Iran and raised in the Bay Area/San Francisco. He graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Genetics and moved on to dental school at UOP. Dr. Aflaatuni's interest include academia, working with special needs patients and sedation. In his spare time he enjoys playing soccer and hanging out with friends. Upon graduating from the Advanced Pediatric Dentistry Program at USC he would like to become an associate and eventually own his own practice. |
Katarina Calilung

Katarina is California native born in Bellflower and raised in Irvine. Dr. Calilung received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from UC Davis and received a DDS degree from Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. Katarina's interests include community outreach, private practice, academia and hospital dentistry as well as being by the water and practicing yoga. Her long term plans include being an associate and eventually owning a private practice with community involvement. |
Irene Ching

Irene is from Northern California born and raised in San Francisco. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Georgetown University and her Dental degree at UCSF. She is interested in orthodontics, community health, and organized dentistry. Her other interests include live music and concerts, cooking, pilates and yoga. Upon graduating, Irene plans to practice as an associate and also be involved with clinical teaching. |

Tiffany was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Macomb, Michigan. She earned her Bachelors degree at the University of Detroit Mercy as well as her dental degree from UDM. Dr. Elliot has interest in children with special needs. She also enjoys time at the beach and hanging out with her cat "Luna". After graduating she plans working in a private practice as well as in hospital setting. |

Oliver was born in Torrance and raised Corona, California. Dr. Giron earned his Bachelor's degree from UCLA and went back East to Tufts for his DDS degree. He is interested in community dentistry, medically complex patients as well as concerts, coffee, dancing and running during his free time. His future plans include both private practice and being involved in academia. |

Gary was born in Redlands and raised in Colton, CA. He earned his Bachelor’s degree at UCLA and went on to Western University where he earned a DMD degree. His areas of interest include special needs and surgical dentistry. In his spare time Dr. Liu enjoys rock climbing and surfing as well as music, art and food. After completing the program he plans on owning a practice and becoming a mentor. |

Samuel was born and raised in San Diego, California. Dr. Russom earned his Bachelors degree at San Diego State and his DDS degree at UCSF. He is interested in hospital dentistry. His personal interest include volleyball, basketball and comics. After graduating, Dr. Russom plans to be involved in community dentistry. |
Grant shandler

Grant was born in La Jolla and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He completed his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at USC and went on to earn his dental degree at USC. He is interested in expanding access to care to underserved populations, as well as orthodontics. In his spare time he enjoys surfing, skiing, rock climbing, golf and farming & construction. After completing the program he plans on working in a private practice setting as well as teach at USC. |
Jonhathan Chay

Jonathan Chay is a Southern native born and raised in Greenville, S. Carolina. Dr. Chay received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina and received a DMD degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. Jonathan’s personal interest include eating sushi, wrestling and is a BIG Star Wars Fan. Long term plans are becoming an Associate in private practice. |

Jessica Baisley

Dr. Baisley was born in San Francisco, CA and raised in Richmond, CA. She received her bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from UC Santa Cruz and her DDS degree from UCSF. Her areas of interest in pediatric dentistry include oral conscious sedation, behavior management and interceptive orthodontics. Jessica’s future plans include working at FQHC as a NHSC scholar and then open her own private practice in her hometown of Richmond.

Tina Bastar

Tina was born and raised in Tehran, Iran She graduated from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Science where she earned her dental degree then continued at the UCLA International Students program. She is interested in community outreach. Upon completion of the program, Dr. Bastar plans to explore different options and eventu- ally be involved in academia and private practice.

Dr. Benyaminov a Los Angeles native. She received a BA degree in health and societies from University Pennsylvania and her dental degree from USC School of Dentistry. Sinead is interested in special needs, sedation and community health. She also has a love for traveling and hiking. Once completing the program she hopes to enter private practice and community dentistry.

Vi-Khoi was born in Santa Ana, California but grew up Corona, CA. He completed his pre-dental education at University of California Riverside receiving a BS in molecular biology and his dental education at UCLA School of Dentistry. His pediatric dental interests include behavior guidance & patient education. Dr. Duong plans to work in community clinics or private practice.

Jesica was born and raised in Central Valley CA. She received a BS in Chemistry and a DDS from UCSF. Dr. Gonzalez loves to dance and is interested in community and hospital dentistry as well as behavior management. She plans to serve her community as an NHSC recipient in the future.

Dr. Keshav grew up in Walnut, CA, earned a BS in dental hygiene at UOP then earned her DDS from USC school of Dentistry. Shivani has an interest in public health, community clinics & patients with complex medical history.

A Trojan at heart, Stephen graduated from the Herman Ostrow school of Dentistry of USC. While in the program he hopes to explore more on behavior management, & special needs dentistry. He has an interest in serving the underserved population and during his off time he likes to cook, hike and go to the beach. After completing the program he plans to stay in California to practice and continue to volunteer in under- served areas as well as travel.

Dr. Saeed comes to USC from No. California, a graduate from UCSF School of Dentistry. Dr Saeed has interest in craniofacial anomalies and pathology. In her free time she loves to hike and run. She looks forward in working both in a hospital setting and private practice as well as academics when she is done with the program.

A native to the Orange County, James was raised in Newport Beach. James went to UC San Diego then transferred to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Dr. Skahen’s areas of interest include sensory dentistry, and oral health education. He loves family time with his wife and baby. Future plans are to be in private practice working alongside his wife who is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist.

Dr. Yoong was born in Mission Viejo, CA. He comes to us from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where he obtained his DDS degree. His areas of interest include behavior management. In his free time he loves to play tennis, and listen to music. After graduation he plans to work in private practice and or FQHC along with teaching.
